“Praise ye the Lord. Praise God in his sanctuary: praise Him in the firmament of His power. Praise Him for His mighty acts: praise Him according to His excellent greatness. Praise Him with the sound of the trumpet: praise Him with the psaltery and harp. Praise Him with the timbrel and dance: praise Him with stringed instruments and organs. Praise Him upon the loud cymbals: praise Him upon the high sounding cymbals. Let every thing that hath breath praise the Lord. Praise ye the Lord.”
Layna LoCascio ~ Music Director
At TLC, we love to worship our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ! Our worship team is led by our Pastor’s wife, Layna LoCascio. Layna graduated from the Jackson College of Ministries with a bachelor’s degree in music. We believe in Biblical worship in music. We do not want to pattern ourselves after what ‘tradition’ says, but after what the Word of God says about music and worship. The focus and aim of our worship ministry is to point worshipers to the One true God, and to see His glory displayed in our midst. We encourage people to come and build a stronger and more intimate relationship with the Lord. Everything that is done through our worship ministry is to minster to our Audience of One – the Lord Jesus Christ. We are not performers, we are worshipers! Music is only one way to worship, however, at TLC worship is the only way for our music.
How We Worship
We love many instruments and it is our desire to use them in praise to the Most High. Psalm 98:4-6 says “Make a joyful noise unto the Lord, all the earth: make a loud noise, and rejoice, and sing praise. Sing unto the Lord with the harp; and the voice of a psalm. With trumpets and sound of cornet make a joyful noise before the Lord, the King.” Here at TLC, we love to sing new music and older songs and hymns alike. We enjoy a variety of worship styles. During a worship service you may find some who are quiet and thoughtful, but others may jump, raise their hands, clap, cry aloud and pray. We want to demonstrate how we feel about God and we want to show Him that we love Him. Even when our physical bodies may not feel like praising we know the Bible declares – ‘let the redeemed of the Lord say so.’ Isaiah 61:3 reminds us to put on the garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness. Praise is the remedy for depression and should be a joyful experience. Here at TLC our time of praise and worship during each service is an attempt to show forth the praises of the One who brought us out of darkness into His marvelous light.
We Need Worship
TLC is a place where lives are changed. We want our music to be used to usher in the presence of God. We want people to come and to be touched by the Master, to feel His touch and for lives to be forever changed. When you enter the presence of God you will never be the same again. Our lives are designed to worship. Come and learn why we have chosen to worship our heavenly Father, the Lord Jesus Christ, in spirit and truth.
