“How then shall they call on Him in whom they have not believed? And how shall they believe in Him of whom they have not heard? And how shall they hear without a preacher? And how shall they preach,
except they be sent?”
The LoCascio Family
Anthony and Layna LoCascio live in Chicagoland with their two beautiful daughters, Annabella and Lillianna. The LoCascio’s have worked together in ministry for over 10 years. Seven of those years were spent working with teenagers and young adults in Bartlett, Illinois. In January of 2009, Anthony and Layna founded The Life Church of Des Plaines with a small group of 15 people who had a passionate vision to reach their community for Jesus Christ. In the beginning, they were led by the Spirit to meet in various locations throughout the city of Des Plaines. God has added to the small group of people and has built an Apostolic church in Des Plaines. The LoCascios are always looking for more people to help fulfill the vision God has given them. Pastor LoCascio has vision for ministries that reach teenagers, Christian leaders, alcoholics, children, drug addicts, orphans, widows, homeless, every culture and lost soul throughout the northwestern suburbs.
Born and raised in the Chicagoland area, Pastor Anthony has been ministering and preaching since 1999, shorly after his conversion. After a major encounter with Jesus Christ at the age of 20 years old and surrendering a potential career in Chicago theater, Anthony made a decision to serve the Lord. From that moment on, there has been no return and no regrets. During his studies at DePaul University, Anthony founded a campus ministry, Apostolic Ministry International. For the next 2 years, as a brand new Christian, he began to envangelize and grow that ministry that reached hundreds of students in Chicago, IL. From there Anthony became the Youth Pastor of Bartlett United Pentecostal Church and founded SUB30 Youth Ministries in Bartlett IL. With a burden to reach into local highschool and college campuses and impact young people, Anthony helped start a second College Campus Ministry at College of DuPage in Glen Ellyn, IL reaching hundreds of students there. Having left a godless lifestyle of drugs and alcohol to follow Jesus Christ, Anthony has always had a burden for teens and young adults walking down a similar road. Early in his walk with the Lord Anthony heard the call of God to reach Chicago Metro with the word of his testimony and the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Today, he and his wife Layna are obeying that call of God and have established TLC, a church with passion and vision to impact the northwest suburbs of Chicago.
Layna LoCascio Layna LoCascio graduated from Jackson College of Ministries with a Bachelor’s Degree in Music. Her main desire is to be the best Mother and Wife she can be and to win souls to Jesus Christ. More than anything, Layna wants her children to follow in their footsteps desiring God with all of their hearts. She was born in Jackson, Mississippi but was raised travelling the United States while her parents evangelized. Layna’s parents settled in Wisconsin for several years to become the Pastors of a church. During her teen years, their family became Missionaries to El Salvador (during the civil war) and to Guatemala. During this time she felt a deep calling of God on her life to be part of the ministry. She knew God was calling her into something deeper than just music. It was a compelling desire to win people to Jesus no matter the cost. God has woven a passion for evangelism into the fabric of her life! This desire led her to start a Spanish speaking church in the late 1990s in Louisiana and the church has since grown and is still going strong today. She has travelled to different countries for missions work, taught many piano lessons and been the music director of several churches until she met her husband. For the past 10 years together they have led a youth ministry and now have become Pastors of a church. With many laughs and a few tears along the way, they are enjoying being in ministry together and share the same deep calling and vision to reach the lost for Jesus Christ.
