The Banishment of Hell

The Banishment of Hell

John 12:28-31 “Father, glorify thy name. Then came there a voice from heaven, saying, I have both glorified it, and will glorify it again. 29The people therefore, that stood by, and heard it, said that it thundered: others said, An angel spake to him. 30 Jesus answered and said, This voice came not because of me, but for your sakes. 31 Now is the judgment of this world: now shall the prince of this world be cast out.”

1 John 3:8 “He that committeth sin is of the devil; for the devil sinneth from the beginning. For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that he might destroy the works of the devil.”

What God has done before to glorify His name, He will do again. He will cast out the works of the devil and the name of Jesus will be glorified.

‘Cast out’ means to be banished.

The Word of God has so much power. It doesn’t need to be shouted. Jesus didn’t have to yell at Satan. Satan had to obey even a whisper.

Have you used God’s Word to help you in a tough situation? What happened? What Scriptures has helped you change your thinking?

Jesus came with a purpose, He came with flesh and blood to deal with the works of the devil. He bullied the bully.

When Satan possesses a man, he is there illegally. Jesus came the right way, through being born.

The only law that a thief understands is the enforced law. By coming in flesh, Jesus had authority over demons. A demon possessed man recognized Jesus—God in the flesh—and wondered where He had gotten the body. Jesus had victory over the devil.

Never underestimate the power of what Jesus can do in your life.

It is your hour to banish hell out of your life.

Heb 2:14 “Forasmuch then as the children are partakers of flesh and blood, he also himself likewise took part of the same; that through death he might destroy him that had the power of death, that is, the devil;”

Jesus came so He could destroy the works of the devil.

Mat 12:28 “But if I cast out devils by the Spirit of God, then the kingdom of God is come unto you.”

People say that speaking in tongues is of the devil. But, if that’s true, why are lives being changed and glorifying God? Jesus came to cast out the devil, bringing the kingdom of God to you. The power of God can cast the devil out.

Mat 12:29 “Or else how can one enter into a strong man’s house, and spoil his goods, except he first bind the strong man? and then he will spoil his house.”

Understand what Jesus did for us so you can repeat the process again and again.

How does understanding what Jesus did for you help you in your life right now?

If the devil’s kingdom is the darkness, then wherever there is light, there is no darkness. If you place a rock inside a glass of water, the water can’t penetrate the rock. The rock must be removed. Wherever you possess an area with Jesus, the banishment of hell takes place. Wherever God shows up, the devil must leave. You can’t be possessed by God and Satan at the same time. You must choose. If you are walking in the light, there is no darkness. The devil is cast out.

Sometimes, stress comes from the devil. Sin comes from the devil. God is interested in banishing hell from your life.

The blood of Jesus is against the devil.

You can trash talk the devil because Jesus is with you!

If God never intended for you to have something, you have the power to banish it from your life. That occupation must end! Claim what you’ve been given. Take that Promised Land.

Rom 14:17 “For the kingdom of God is not meat and drink; but righteousness, and peace, and joy in the Holy Ghost.”

The junk that comes against you, you have the power to banish. God’s kingdom is good. It’s righteousness. It’s peace. It’s joy in Jesus, in His Spirit.

Mental discipline keeps you from becoming depressed. Discouragement is not something God uses to teach His people. He always says, ‘Fear not.’ God is always positive, even with rebuke. It’s always, ‘Lift up your heads.’ ‘This is the way, walk in it.’ He always encourages you to do right and good so you can experience that righteousness, and peace, and joy.

What is coming against you? What thoughts do you entertain that contradicts the truth in Scripture? Will you challenge that and align yourself with God’s Word? What does that look like in your life?

In prayer, you can get the darkness out of your life. Jesus will help you remove that stuff, in His presence, there is fullness of joy. Learn how to think on the things of God and not the things of the world and the things of the devil. You don’t recognize it because the devil comes dressed in a tux. He’s subtle.

Transformation is what God wants for you. This is a metamorphosis. The devil pretends and puts on a mask as if he was something else, but that’s not what God has for you. The devil is not an angel of light, he looks like an angel of light.

God is not interested in condemning you. He wants to open your eyes so that you can cast the stuff out. Jesus wants you to stop being deceived. The power of the devil isn’t great, it’s deception. He’s the deceiver.

The Name of Jesus has power enough to banish hell and all the things that come with it out of your life!

Luke 4:32-36 “And they were astonished at his doctrine: for his word was with power. 33 And in the synagogue there was a man, which had a spirit of an unclean devil, and cried out with a loud voice, 34 Saying, Let us alone; what have we to do with thee, thou Jesus of Nazareth? art thou come to destroy us? I know thee who thou art; the Holy One of God. 35 And Jesus rebuked him, saying, Hold thy peace, and come out of him. And when the devil had thrown him in the midst, he came out of him, and hurt him not. 36 And they were all amazed, and spake among themselves, saying, What a word is this! for with authority and power he commandeth the unclean spirits, and they come out.”

You can cast devils out of your life by the name of Jesus Christ.

Isaiah 42:6-7 “I the Lord have called thee in righteousness, and will hold thine hand, and will keep thee, and give thee for a covenant of the people, for a light of the Gentiles; 7 To open the blind eyes, to bring out the prisoners from the prison, and them that sit in darkness out of the prison house.”

God can still change you. Jesus is still in the banishing business.

The Hebrew name of God is YHWH, ‘I AM.’ It’s comprised of four symbols. It reads from left to right. Yod, Heh, Vav, Heh—Yod is the smallest letter in the Hebrew language, ‘hand’ ‘monument’ or ‘share’ This symbol signifies creation to the Jews, it is symbolic of the creator, the Yod. Hebrew Yod is in every letter and also means ‘ten.’ Jesus said, ‘I am,’ ten times in the book of John. It’s a humble symbol of creation. Our Creator is humble. God is meek and hidden and part of all existence. Yod is the meek and all existent creator who has hands. Heh is the second letter, and means ‘five’ and ‘to exist’ or ‘be revealed’ This is where God revealed Himself. Vav is a symbol of achievement and means ‘nail’ or ‘peg’ and a numeric value of ‘six’ meaning man has put a nail in God’s name. God’s number is 7, but all man can do is 6. The last is Heh again. God is the Creator that is to be Revealed and is to be Nailed in His Hands and will be Revealed again. This is the name Jehovah. Behold, Nail, Behold, Hand.

On Mt. Moriah, God is Jehovah Jirah—God will Provide. He is the Lord our Banner, Victory. He is the God of Peace. He is our God Shepherd, God our Righteousness.

Isa 12:2 “Behold, God is my salvation; I will trust, and not be afraid: for the Lord Jehovah is my strength and my song; he also is become my salvation.

When Israel backslid, they used the name Baal (another God) in their children’s names. When they came back, the replaced those names with a name which means ‘shame.’ They didn’t quite cast out Baal from their lives and they were ashamed.

Jesus said, ‘I am come in my Father’s name.’ That meant all the power that God has, all the names that God called Himself, is contained in Jesus. The name of Jesus has all the power to cast out all the darkness.

He still destroys the work of the devil. Those nails purchased out salvation and destroyed the work of the devil. It’s in His name. It’s the Name—Jesus.

The blood that was spilled on Calvary fulfilled all the law. It is the name that saves.

‘Neither is there salvation in any other.’ ‘In the name of Jesus rise up and walk.’ ‘But with the precious blood of Christ…’

It’s not some conjuring or magic. It’s the authority in Who Jesus Is. You have been given the authority in Jesus’ name to displace the devil, to command and banish hell out. Don’t be afraid. You have the power in the name of Jesus.

There is something powerful about the Name and being baptized in that Name is what Acts 2:38 commanded.

Bind that strongman in yourself and get rid of the darkness and the depression and the things that are not of God. You have the power of the Name of Jesus. His Name is for you. The Light and the Glory of that name shall be lifted up and brought into your life again.

Jesus wants to judge darkness and deliver you from it.

Mark 16:16-17 “He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned. 17 And these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues;”

When you start believing, having faith, you will get freedom, deliverance. The darkness will be cast out.

Mark 16:18 “They shall take up serpents; and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them; they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover.”

The name of Jesus is more powerful than those things that come against you. (Taking up serpents is not meant to be on purpose and neither is drinking poison. Neither shall hurt you.)

There is no death, no sickness, no sin, no tears, no darkness in Heaven. If you’re going to have heaven in your life, darkness can’t be there. You can’t have both. You may not have all of it, but receive all that God has for you. It’s available in the name of Jesus.
