The Currency of the Kingdom

jesus_walks_on_the_seaActs 3:1-7 “Now Peter and John went up together into the temple at the hour of prayer, being the ninth hour. 2 And a certain man lame from his mother’s womb was carried, whom they laid daily at the gate of the temple which is called Beautiful, to ask alms of them that entered into the temple; 3 Who seeing Peter and John about to go into the temple asked an alms. 4 And Peter, fastening his eyes upon him with John, said, Look on us. 5 And he gave heed unto them, expecting to receive something of them. 6 Then Peter said, Silver and gold have I none; but such as I have give I thee: In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth rise up and walk. 7 And he took him by the right hand, and lifted him up: and immediately his feet and ankle bones received strength.”

Heb 11:1-3 “Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen. 2 For by it the elders obtained a good report. 3 Through faith we understand that the worlds were framed by the word of God, so that things which are seen were not made of things which do appear.”

Without faith, it is impossible to please Him.

You get provision for a moment, but wonder what happened when the next moment comes? How many times have you prayed and felt like God didn’t answer?

What do you do now that you have the Holy Ghost? In church, you feel the presence of God and it’s good, but what about when you go home? You feel God on the inside of you saying, “I will never leave you nor forsake you.”

But, what about the doctor’s report? What about people who say they love you and then leave? There is a spiritual side you can tap into. It must become more predominant than your physical side.

Peter tried to operate in the Kingdom, then a storm came. Jesus told them to get into the boat. They’re fishermen and know when the wind is blowing bad. Jesus came walking on water and because of the storm they didn’t recognize Him.

Jesus not only walks on water, He walks on storms!

He is real and you want to go out to where He’s at. You want to be all big and bad and walk on storms too. Peter went out and realized he’s not meant to walk on storms. He cried out to Jesus and Jesus saved him. Jesus didn’t have him walk on water again, He took Peter back to the boat. The storm stopped then and peace happened.

Let Jesus lift you up and put you on a firm foundation.

When you come to an understanding that Jesus is not your friend (at your level), you realize He is your God, your Master. He is not at your level, He is way beyond that. Allow yourself to be bound by Him. Obey Him.

You aren’t just His child, you are His prisoner, bound by Him. As a child, there are times that Daddy says, ‘No.’ If you live as a prisoner, there is joy unspeakable and full of glory. There is transformation. You must be His servant.

Peter denied knowing Jesus because He was only a friend to him. When Jesus looked weak, Peter denied Him. When Peter had a realization and became a prisoner and servant to Jesus, he said, “Silver and gold have I none, but…” This is the currency of heaven.

The enemy is attacking your faith.

When will you make up your mind to not bow? The Lord gives and taketh away. Praise Him in the good and the bad times.

Jesus prayed that Peter’s faith not fail.

Jesus isn’t worried about your bank account. He knew because He prayed that Peter would come out of his failure and be able to help someone else.

God won’t keep pouring into people who don’t pour out!

Every song that’s sung is to activate the currency of the Kingdom.

James 2:20 “But wilt thou know, O vain man, that faith without works is dead?”

It’s easy for people to want this Holy Ghost if they see the power that’s there. When the enemy brings doubt and fear, reach back over your life and remember what God has done for you.

What about the generation after you? They haven’t seen the dead raised. They have the Holy Ghost, but no fire.

The ark was being brought back and David was dancing. When the enemy had the power, they were blessed. David could look back over his life and remember.

Solomon opened the ark and saw that nothing was in there except the law. The enemy probably took the other things. They want the blessings but not the law. The manna was in the ark and the rod that budded was in there as a testimony to a people who were disobedient and doubted.

God won’t operate in unbelief. If you have faith as the grain of a mustard seed, your mountains will move. Your faith is being attacked. It’s not your pocketbook. If you’re running on empty because of unbelief, God can’t operate. You may have a testimony, but what about those who are coming after you.

God is the God of Abraham, but God became the God of Abraham and Isaac. Isaac saw a demonstration with his own eyes.

How do you pray?

“Our Father, which art in heaven, hallowed be thy name? Thy kingdom come, thy will be done, in earth as it is in heaven.”

God is God, His will, His way, His kingdom.

Our God still answers prayer, the same yesterday, today, and forever. He is real. Let the currency of heaven be activated in YOU!

I believe, not out of emotion, but by obedience.
