Ezekiel 37:1-3 “The hand of the Lord was upon me, and carried me out in the spirit of the Lord, and set me down in the midst of the valley which was full of bones, And caused me to pass by them round about: and, behold, there were very many in the open valley; and, lo, they were very dry. And he said unto me, Son of man, can these bones live? And I answered, O Lord God, thou knowest.”
Ezekiel didn’t have the Holy Ghost. He played it safe and answered, ‘thou knowest’.
When Jesus walked the earth, he healed, fulfilling prophecy. He not only fixed lame arms and legs, he gave those who had lost them brand new ones! Jesus raised the dead.
‘Greater things than these shall you do.’ Jesus said He was going away, He was going to die, His blood covering your sins, reconciling you to God.
The fallen state that we are in, dead, was never part of God’s plan.
After Adam sinned, we needed a new birth. We died because of Adam, but we live because of Jesus. Jesus reversed Adam’s sin, bringing us back to that state before sin in relationship with God.
Offenses will build a fence, a wall around you. The Hittites were afraid of the Israelites, so they hid their gold and silver in the walls. Leprosy can get into the walls of houses. Those houses had to be torn down. When they were torn down, the people found gold and silver.
Can this soul be saved? Yes! God can use any situation to be turned for good!
Get a Yes in your spirit! Lives can be transformed! Ezekiel played it safe, but we know.
God told Ezekiel to deliver a Word and you’ll see what happens when the Word goes forth. It an honor and privilege to be part of a movement that can say ‘yes’ to the turning around of broken lives.
Sometimes life is like a messed up Rubix cube and you feel like you will never get it back right. We look at life and think it will never be right. Let your faith be strong. We know that it IS possible. We have seen God’s work and we know that He can make life right.
There was a demoniac who broke all kinds of chains. Finally, the authorities put him out in the tombs. The man was crazy. He had thousands of devils in him.
You can’t fix a spiritual problem with a natural remedy.
But, it took only a moment when that man heard that Jesus was there. Jesus freed him. He would answer ‘Yes, these bones can live!’
A man who was blind and Jesus healed him. The Pharisees brought him in and questioned him. They called Jesus a sinner. They didn’t want to celebrate the healing or the restoration. The blind man said, ‘Whether Jesus was a sinner or not, I don’t know, but I do know I was blind, but now I see!’
What kind of bones do you have? Can these bones live?
We can go back to Nebuchadnezzar’s day. God chose to reveal Himself to that king. He showed Himself in the fire. That king instantly changed and converted the entire nation. He said, ‘This is God.’
God took a man who acted a lot like Isis. He cut off heads, put people to death, tortured, all with permission from the government. Saul on the way to Tarsus converted instantly and became Paul, the Apostle. Paul knew these bones could live!
Cornelius had a house of Italians, not Jewish, but Peter came and preached. Every person was delivered and saved and changed. He knew that yes, these bones could live.
But, Pastor, you don’t know my situation. Yes, your situation is dark. There were bones in that valley that Ezekiel was taken to. It was dark and destitute and abandoned. The bones were dry.
Ezekiel 37:4 “Again he said unto me, Prophesy upon these bones, and say unto them, O ye dry bones, hear the word of the Lord.”
Why do you tell God how big your mountain is? Why don’t you start telling your mountain how big your God is?! Prophecy to the bones! Hear ye the Word of the Lord! Stop listening to the voice of the problem, rather listen to the voice of God. Let the Word of reconciliation be in you. Listen to God. Get to church and listen to the man of God.
Start speaking the Word of the Lord. Jesus said, ‘It is written.’
Jesus answered the prayer request of devils and put them into pigs. What the devil could not do in one English word, Jesus did it. He said, ‘Go,’ and they had to obey the Lord.
God is saying, “Why don’t you prophesy to the situation and say, ‘Hear the Word of the Lord, Go!’”
These bones can not only live, they can be an army once again!
Ezekiel 37:5-6 “Thus saith the Lord God unto these bones; Behold, I will cause breath to enter into you, and ye shall live: And I will lay sinews upon you, and will bring up flesh upon you, and cover you with skin, and put breath in you, and ye shall live; and ye shall know that I am the Lord.”
It’s all about us knowing that He is the Lord!
Ezekiel 37:7 “So I prophesied as I was commanded: and as I prophesied, there was a noise, and behold a shaking, and the bones came together, bone to his bone.”
There was a noise! There was a whole lot of shaking going on!
Ezekiel 37:8 “And when I beheld, lo, the sinews and the flesh came up upon them, and the skin covered them above: but there was no breath in them.”
Sometimes, it’s just noise. You look like something took place, but there’s no breath. Without breath, there’s no life. Sometimes you have to prophecy again!
Ezekiel 37:9-10 “Then said he unto me, Prophesy unto the wind, prophesy, son of man, and say to the wind, Thus saith the Lord God; Come from the four winds, O breath, and breathe upon these slain, that they may live. So I prophesied as he commanded me, and the breath came into them, and they lived, and stood up upon their feet, an exceeding great army.”
When revival comes, it will come from all four corners of the earth as the Spirit of the Lord breathes on us! Believe! That’s the Spirit of reconciliation. We are believers in transformation.
