Hidden Treasure

Treasure Map by nongpimmyMat 13:44 “Again, the kingdom of heaven is like unto treasure hid in a field; the which when a man hath found, he hideth, and for joy thereof goeth and selleth all that he hath, and buyeth that field.”

Somebody found a treasure and hid it and then disappeared. Somebody else found it and found out that the field was for sale. So, he sold everything he had to buy that field.

What is that treasure? Is it the kingdom of God? Or is the treasure salvation? Or is the treasure a soul and the man who finds is Jesus? Yes. To all of the above. There is the multiplicity of awesomeness in parables.

That man is Jesus and He found me. I was dead and buried. But, He saw a treasure. He gave His whole life for me.

Mark 8:36 “For what shall it profit a man, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul?”

The value of one soul to God is worth more than all the world’s wealth.

Sometimes, people think God is somebody sitting like a judge with his gavel. “If any man have not Christ, he is none of His.”

If someone can’t recognize Jesus in me, I don’t belong to Him. Everywhere Jesus went, He did good. He loved people. He reached people. He had nothing when He died. On the cross, He gave His mom to John to take care of. He had to borrow a tomb, but He gave His blood for souls.

What passion drives you is your spirit. Your attitude, your personality, your desires is your spirit. If you have not the Spirit of Christ, you are not a Christian. If you don’t have the same desires as He did, you are not His.

If you don’t see souls the same way He did, willing to give everything just like Jesus, you don’t belong to Him.

You are called to be a winner of souls!

Grab that wounded soul and care for them. Souls are more valuable than clothes, time, stuff, career, and on and on and on.

Get a burden for your city!

If you want to claim the title Christian, then you must get a burden for souls. We are a church, not a social club. We have something in this place that will save souls!

The Spirit and the Bride say, ‘Come!’ The Spirit is Jesus, but we are the Bride! We need to say the same thing Jesus does. Let down your guard and love people. It’s not about money or skill, it’s about loving people. You are valuable! You are a hidden treasure. This is the passion that consumed the early church.

Get people skills and learn to talk to people. Get your doctrine right, of course, but then go and win souls.

When we come through those pearly gates and make heaven our home, we will wish we had done more to reach souls, reach God’s treasures. God won’t show you a video of your co-workers burning in hell, but we need to get the passion and burden for it today. Get convicted and reach souls. When you have an opportunity to reach souls and you do something else, get convicted.

The spirit of anti-christ is edging out holiness and making what’s right wrong. We can’t be silent. In that field, there’s a treasure. The value of that treasure is so much more than anything in this life. Teach, preach, baptize, and preach some more so that they can be saved.

Acts 5:42 “And daily in the temple, and in every house, they ceased not to teach and preach Jesus Christ.”

Acts 2:46 “And they, continuing daily with one accord in the temple, and breaking bread from house to house, did eat their meat with gladness and singleness of heart,”

Catch them when they’re at church and when they’re at home. Catch them at work and at the park. Catch them while shopping and while in a restaurant. You are a piece of eternity wrapped in skin. Souls will either live forever or die forever. If you’re on your way to hell, this is the closest you will ever get to heaven. If you’re on your way to heaven, this is the closest you’ll ever get to hell. It’s got to start. The Spirit and the Church (that’s YOU), say, ‘Come!’

You are wanted by God. You are so precious to Him. Jesus had the opportunity to do all kinds of things, but instead, for the joy that was before Him, He endured the cross!

Jesus knew He would go through a rough time, horrible pain, but He did it for what He saw as treasure—YOU! That was what He was joying over. He was happy to see me and you be transformed.

If you’re not a soul winner, question your salvation. If you don’t care about people, question whether you’re saved. Simon the sorcerer was baptized, but he needed to repent. What was in his heart was wrong. He needed to get a burden and passion for souls.

Peter left everything and said, ‘Silver and gold have I none, but what I have I give to you. In the name of Jesus, rise up and walk!’

This world needs what you have—Jesus. This treasure, Jesus, salvation, eternal life, heaven.

You need to get God involved in your life. Share your life with Him. Let Him share His heart with you. There are people in your life God wants you to reach. That’s a treasure worth everything you’ve got!

The Amazon River has a beginning up in the mountains with snow that eventually becomes a mighty river whose mouth is 100 miles wide when it empties into the ocean, going out 1000 miles into the sea.

It’s like a fire that devours everything in its path. We need to birth something in this church that is unstoppable. We are the church, we need to go get the treasure.

Don’t look at souls as ‘yucky’ that need to be cleaned up first. We need to be like fishermen who bait their hooks with something that the fish want. Yes, the fish is scaly and smelly, but it cooks up real good.

Mat 4:19 “And he saith unto them, Follow me, and I will make you fishers of men.”

If you’re around Me long enough, you’ll want to reach people. You’ll realize that you’ll give up everything to reach souls. Get your mind on God’s purpose, God’s treasure.

When you get your mind off God’s purpose, you start to focus on each other and you start to complain. You can’t become a fisher of men without keeping your focus on Jesus and His purpose.

Psalm 126:6 “He that goeth forth and weepeth, bearing precious seed, shall doubtless come again with rejoicing, bringing his sheaves with him.”

This is the last of the seed. If it doesn’t grow, his family will starve. This is his last shot. When that crop comes, there is rejoicing, because you know your family will be saved.

If you don’t plant a seed, nothing will grow. If you don’t sow, you won’t reap. You’ve got to sow, go forth. Go where the fish are. Want the treasure in the field more than that which is in your bank account.

There is very little time left. Go forth.

Step 1: Go forth.

Weep because you want the seed to grow. It’s an emotional involvement. There must be agonizing amongst our organizing.

Jesus knew the future of Jerusalem and He wept. His tears fell to the ground. Then, the power of the Holy Ghost fell on that city and 3000 souls were saved. He went forth and put the seed in. He backed away from the field and wept over it.

Fellowship is the unity of different things. Pure light is the unity of different colors all coming together in a perfect blend of unity and it illuminates and shines. You know why God didn’t kill you when He saved you? Because He wants you to reach people.
