Mat 24:34-44 “Verily I say unto you, This generation shall not pass, till all these things be fulfilled. Heaven and earth shall pass away, but my words shall not pass away. But of that day and hour knoweth no man, no, not the angels of heaven, but my Father only. But as the days of Noe were, so shall also the coming of the Son of man be. For as in the days that were before the flood they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day that Noe entered into the ark, And knew not until the flood came, and took them all away; so shall also the coming of the Son of man be. Then shall two be in the field; the one shall be taken, and the other left. Two women shall be grinding at the mill; the one shall be taken, and the other left. Watch therefore: for ye know not what hour your Lord doth come. But know this, that if the goodman of the house had known in what watch the thief would come, he would have watched, and would not have suffered his house to be broken up. Therefore be ye also ready: for in such an hour as ye think not the Son of man cometh.”
We must look and be aware of the season that we are in.
Amos 3:7 “Surely the Lord GOD will do nothing, but he revealeth his secret unto his servants the prophets.”
Isaiah 46:10 “Declaring the end from the beginning, and from ancient times the things that are not yet done, saying, My counsel shall stand, and I will do all my pleasure:”
When working with an Islamic man who had converted to Christianity, Bro Monty asked, ‘What made you take a second look at Christianity?’ He answered, ‘Prophecy. The prophecies of Mohammed are not being fulfilled, but all those in the Bible are being fulfilled.’
This gospel works in every language. That name of Jesus is powerful. It is the name that is above all names. Moses spoke it first ‘Yaweh and Salvation’ or ‘God has become my salvation’. That name is Jesus.
Isaiah 48:5-6 “I have even from the beginning declared it to thee; before it came to pass I shewed it thee: lest thou shouldest say, Mine idol hath done them, and my graven image, and my molten image, hath commanded them. Thou hast heard, see all this; and will not ye declare it? I have shewed thee new things from this time, even hidden things, and thou didst not know them.”
Jesus, Himself, referred to Noah that people would be doing their normal activities ‘eating and drinking’ when the Son of Man comes. But, Noah was not unaware. God told him so he could warn the people.
Gen 7:1-5 “And the LORD said unto Noah, Come thou and all thy house into the ark; for thee have I seen righteous before me in this generation. Of every clean beast thou shalt take to thee by sevens, the male and his female: and of beasts that are not clean by two, the male and his female. Of fowls also of the air by sevens, the male and the female; to keep seed alive upon the face of all the earth. For yet seven days, and I will cause it to rain upon the earth forty days and forty nights; and every living substance that I have made will I destroy from off the face of the earth. And Noah did according unto all that the LORD commanded him.”
Noah didn’t know the exact moment, but he obeyed God and was faithful to His commands. Then, God told him the exact time and Noah knew.
God tells us that this gospel will be preached around the world. Around the world, the fastest growing religion is Pentecostalism. Around the world, the fastest growing religion is Pentecostalism. People are receiving Jesus Christ and the power of His Spirit all over the world. Certain brands of Christianity are declining, but churches like this are booming and growing. There is a movement of people who desire to be ready for His coming. Hear His voice.
Elijah, when he knew that the Lord was about to take him…
2 Kings 2:1-2 “And it came to pass, when the LORD would take up Elijah into heaven by a whirlwind, that Elijah went with Elisha from Gilgal. And Elijah said unto Elisha, Tarry here, I pray thee; for the LORD hath sent me to Bethel. And Elisha said unto him, As the LORD liveth, and as thy soul liveth, I will not leave thee. So they went down to Bethel.”
Elisha knew too, and he refused to leave Elijah. He was blessed for it (double blessing!).
In the last few weeks more than 5000 Christians have been beheaded in the streets, including women and children. Why? The reason is because these Islamics are losing so many to Christianity. There are masses who are converting to Christianity.
A few decades ago, who thought it would be possible to see people be beheaded in the 21st century? It’s all been according to prophecy.
Mat 16:3 “And in the morning, It will be foul weather to day: for the sky is red and lowering. O ye hypocrites, ye can discern the face of the sky; but can ye not discern the signs of the times?”
They didn’t want Messiah to show up and disrupt their lifestyle. Here in America, we’re so content and drunk on prosperity that we don’t want to change and be ready for Jesus.
So many people are unaware of the hour and are not ready.
Hos 2:19-20 “And I will betroth thee unto me for ever; yea, I will betroth thee unto me in righteousness, and in judgment, and in lovingkindness, and in mercies. I will even betroth thee unto me in faithfulness: and thou shalt know the LORD.”
In an ancient Jewish wedding, the bridegroom would go and build a house, but he had to wait until the father said it was ready. Then, he could go get his bride. Neither he nor the bride knew, but both were faithful to work and wait.
Eph 1:13-14 “In whom ye also trusted, after that ye heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation: in whom also after that ye believed, ye were sealed with that holy Spirit of promise, Which is the earnest of our inheritance until the redemption of the purchased possession, unto the praise of his glory.”
A woman, when engaged, gets ready for her husband and plans the wedding because she has that ring, that guarantee! It is the same for us! Get ready!
Five virgins were ready, five were not. Five had enough oil and five did not. Five let their light shine brightly, full of oil. ‘Behold the bridegroom cometh…’ Get ready! Get full of the Holy Ghost and stay full. Don’t be lazy. Be ready!
1 Thes 4:13-18 “But I would not have you to be ignorant, brethren, concerning them which are asleep, that ye sorrow not, even as others which have no hope. For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so them also which sleep in Jesus will God bring with him. For this we say unto you by the word of the Lord, that we which are alive and remain unto the coming of the Lord shall not prevent them which are asleep. For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first: Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord. Wherefore comfort one another with these words.”
Paul expected Jesus to return at any time! He was ready. How can we not do the same?
Eph 5:1-6 “But of the times and the seasons, brethren, ye have no need that I write unto you. For yourselves know perfectly that the day of the Lord so cometh as a thief in the night. For when they shall say, Peace and safety; then sudden destruction cometh upon them, as travail upon a woman with child; and they shall not escape. But ye, brethren, are not in darkness, that that day should overtake you as a thief. Ye are all the children of light, and the children of the day: we are not of the night, nor of darkness. Therefore let us not sleep, as do others; but let us watch and be sober.”
Don’t be unprepared in this hour. You need to be full of oil and let your light shine bright in this hour. Be ready. For very soon He will come!
Mat 24:25 “Behold, I have told you before.”
He is coming for those who look for him, constantly aware and watching.
